AHEAD grant check presentation with Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada

Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) is proud to continue its partnership with Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada (RTNNV) through a $100,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of San Francisco’s AHEAD Program. This grant will help RTNNV further its mission to repair homes, revitalize communities, and rebuild lives for seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities across Northern Nevada.

About the Grant

The FHLB AHEAD Program grant, sponsored by GNCU, enables RTNNV to expand its capacity, ensuring that vulnerable residents can age in place safely while supporting the organization’s long-term sustainability.

About Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada

RTNNV, an affiliate of the national Rebuilding Together organization, has been serving Northern Nevada since 2020. Their mission focuses on preserving affordable housing and enhancing the safety, health, and stability of low-income homeowners, including seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.

Meg Shea, Executive Director of Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada, shared her excitement for the partnership:

“This grant means the world to our organization. It’s our second year, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Greater Nevada Credit Union again. This funding from the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, through GNCU, allows us to improve the lives of those we serve and help our organization thrive. We’re just super excited to link arms again with Greater Nevada Credit Union.”

The Award

The $100,000 grant will be used to:

  • Support operational costs, including salaries and consulting fees
  • Develop donor relations and fundraising strategies
  • Launch marketing campaigns to expand awareness and engagement

These efforts will ensure RTNNV can grow its impact, helping more families remain safely and comfortably in their homes.
