As a Greater Nevada member, your savings are federally insured up to at least $250,000 at no additional cost to you by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
The Helping Families Save Their Homes Act of 2009 was signed into law May 20, 2009. It includes a provision
that extends the $250,000 insurance limit for credit union members' deposits through December 31, 2013.
The National Credit Union Administration is the independent federal agency that charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, operates the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) insuring the savings of 90 million account holders in all federally insured credit unions.
